Darkroom Facilities
Victor House Darkroom is run by Lucy Levene & Dafna Talmor, who met on the Photography MA at the RCA. It is used by artists and photographers and provides a small community within which to discuss work and exchange feedback.
COLOUR DARKROOMS
There are three private cubicles, one with a Durst, one with a DeVere and one with both a DeVere and a small Durst. Enlargers accommodate 35mm-5×4 film formats. In a separate space is a 27” wide Colenta processor, for printing up to 27" wide. The viewing area is flooded with daylight and lit by daylight balanced lights for late printing.
B&W DARKROOM
Our B&W room is fairly basic but has all of the essentials! Our DeVere enlarger can accommodate 35mm-5×4” film. You'll need to provide chemistry and paper — everything else is provided, including filters, grain focusers, contact glass and drying screens.
Also within the space is a mini kitchen with a kettle, toaster, fridge & microwave.

Desk space
We currently rent two desk spaces within the studio which are on the mezzanine above the darkroom. These are particularly suitable for someone who wishes to use the darkroom but can be rented by anyone desk-based. Please note there is currently a waiting list for these spaces.
